Sabo Bridge Closed For Final Repairs
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Crews will begin making final repairs to the Sabo bike and pedestrian bridge in south Minneapolis on Monday.
The bridge will be closed to all bike and pedestrian traffic until the work is finished in December. Support cables on the bridge broke loose back in February.
After investigating, engineers ruled that wind caused the cables to vibrate, and eventually caused several plates on the bridge to crack.
