Roseville Police Seek Help Locating Vehicle In Drive-By Shooting
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Police in Roseville are seeking the public's help in locating a vehicle that was involved in a drive-by shooting Monday.
According to the Roseville Police Department, just after 7:30 p.m. police responded to a call of multiple gunshots being fired on the 200 block of Grandview Avenue.
Upon arrival, officers learned that a dark colored SUV had been traveling east on Grandview Avenue toward Rice Street when the front passenger leaned out and began firing a handgun. The passenger was firing at a car exiting the Hillsborough Apartment complex.
Witnesses told police between six and seven gunshots were fired from the suspect vehicle.
One person was injured during the gunfire. Police believe one of the rounds may have hit the pavement and struck the 50-year-old man who happened to be walking to his car in the middle of the shooting.
The man was taken to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries. He has since been released.
No other injuries were reported.
Police said the only other damage was to a parked car. Police believe the car the suspect was targeting hit the parked vehicle as it drove away.
