Romney Campaign Office Not Open In MN
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The Romney for President campaign has not opened an office in Minnesota.
University of Minnesota Political Scientist Larry Jacobs says part of the reason may be that the campaign just isn't sure where to put its money here, unlike in states like Iowa or Wisconsin which have Republican governors and well-organized, financially-sound Republican parties.

Jacobs says neither of those exist in Minnesota, with its Democratic governor and financially-troubled state Republican Party.
Jacobs says the Romney campaign could still decide to open shop in Minnesota if it sees a need to make a big push in Wisconsin.
In that case, the campaign would need to advertise in the Twin Cities media market, and may feel it's worth it to go all out in Minnesota and make the Obama campaign fight.
The most recent national poll of Minnesota voters shows President Obama leading Gov. Romney 48 percent to 40 percent.
