Rolling Twins Win National Wheelchair Softball Tourney
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- It may be too early to decide the fate of one local Twins team but for another, the victory has been sealed.
The Courage Center's Adult Rolling Twins wheelchair softball team won first place honors in a national tournament on Aug. 11 to 13 in Omaha, Neb.
The win was especially meaningful for third baseman Kurt Greniger, whose son Robert was killed last July while serving in Afghanistan. The team dedicated the tournament to Robert's memory.
The team is made up of men and women from Minnesota, Wisconsin and North Dakota.
