Rochester Man, 27, Sentenced For Distributing Child Pornography
ROCHESTER, Minn. (WCCO) -- A 27-year-old Rochester man has been sentenced to 15 years in prison for distributing a video containing child pornography, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office.
In addition to the 15-year sentence, Nathan Paul Severson was ordered to pay $2,253 in restitution. He pleaded guilty on July 17.
In his plea agreement, Severson admitted on Jan. 13, 2011 that he distributed, via his computer, a visual depiction of a minor engaged in sexually explicit conduct. Additionally, he admitted to possessing around 11,600 images and 430 videos of child porn.
Authorities found the images and video on a computer and several hard drives during the execution of a search warrant.
This case was the result of an investigation by the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement's Homeland Security Investigation.
