Ridnour Named Finalist For NBA Sportsmanship Award
MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Minnesota Timberwolves guard Luke Ridnour is one of six finalists for the NBA's annual sportsmanship award.
The candidates were announced by the league on Monday, one for each of the six divisions.
The winner will be revealed after the regular season. The award is named after former Detroit Pistons star Joe Dumars and based on ethical behavior, fair play and integrity.
Ridnour, in his second year with the team, is currently out with a sprained right ankle. He's averaging a career-high 12.1 points plus 2.7 rebounds and 4.8 assists and has started all 53 games he's played in. He's sixth in the league in free-throw percentage at 89.1.
