Richfield Man Arrested, Charged In Chicago Robbery-Shooting
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A Richfield man faces attempted first-degree murder and armed robbery charges after an incident at a Logan Square gift shop in Chicago.
According to police, Keith Owens, 51, is the second suspect in the April 9 armed robbery incident that occurred at the gift shop, located in the 2200 block of North Western Avenue.
Surveillance video shows the store owner fending off the robbers with a baseball bat.
The shop owner is in good condition despite being shot in the leg. As many as nine shots were directed at him.
Owns was scheduled to appear in court in Chicago earlier Wednesday.
