Reward Still Stands For Info In 1976 Minn. Bombing
ST. CLOUD, Minn. (AP) -- A bombing that killed a central Minnesota postal worker remains unsolved 35 years later.
Assistant Kimball Postmaster Ivend Holen was killed in an explosion at the city's post office in 1976. The anniversary is Friday.
Holen was alone and sorting through a sack of mail when a parcel apparently exploded at 6:40 in the morning. The 60-year-old father of 10 died on the way to St. Cloud Hospital. The blast and fire also caused extensive damage to the post office.
No one has ever been arrested. The St. Cloud Times reports the U.S. Postal Service issued a reminder this week that there is a $100,000 reward for information leading to an arrest and prosecution in the case.
