Reward Offered For Help In Bemidji Fraternity Stabbing
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The Beltrami County Sheriff's Office is hoping a reward will help uncover more information in the stabbing of an 18-year-old man at a fraternity in Bemidji.
Sheriff's officials say the teen tried to intervene in a fight between two males at a large party and was stabbed in the back early Sunday.
Jace Ugrich, of Bovey, is in the intensive care unit at Sanford Bemidji Medical Center where he's in stable condition.
Bemidji State spokesman Scott Faust says the rural property where the party and stabbing took place is owned by Theta Tau Epsilon alumni.
Now, investigators are seeking to interview two persons of interest. The first person is described as a 5-foot-11 to 6-foot-1 white male with a skinny build, wearing a dark sweatshirt and a black baseball with the word "Dope" in a light color on the front. The second is described as a white male of similar height with light-colored hair, wearing a red hoodie sweatshirt.
