Report: Vikings Call On Redskins' McNabb
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The Minnesota Vikings' quarterback drama continues. The team is reportedly among a few teams in trade discussion talks with the Washington Redskins about Donovan McNabb, according to ESPN.
ESPN is reporting that NFL sources told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter about the talks Tuesday afternoon.
McNabb, who had a disappointing season last year, still has to restructure a contract with the Redskins before any team can make a deal for him.
The Vikings have been rumored to be interested in McNabb since he was traded from the Philadelphia Eagles to the Redskins before the 2010 season.
The Vikings may need a veteran quarterback to help rookie quarterback Christian Ponder, who the Vikings drafted with their 12th pick in 2011 draft.
Backup Tarvaris Jackson, according to multiple media reports, is on the way out and reportedly signed with the Seattle Seahawks.
