Report: Target To Focus On Healthier Food Options
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Target is making a major shift.
It's looking to get away from packaged products and focus more on healthier grocery options, according to the Wall Street Journal.
Major food suppliers tell the Journal that Target told them they're shifting away from things like cereals, soups, mac and cheese.
Instead, the Minneapolis-based retailer wants healthier options and also specialty products to make Target more of a food 'destination' store.
This does mean food costs will likely go up.
