Report: Target Analyst Raised Security Concerns Months Before Breach
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Target's computer security staff raised concerns about its payment-card system at least two months before the massive data breach.
The Wall Street Journal reports at least one analyst wanted to do a more thorough security review of Target's payment system.
That was after the federal government and private research firms put out memos about new types of malicious computer code targeting payment terminals.
It's not clear, however, whether Target did the security review before the attack.
