Report: $80K Camaro Stolen In Neb. Involved In Fatal Faribault Co. Crash
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Officials in Faribault County say a 1968 Chevrolet Camaro stolen in Nebraska was involved in a fatal accident Tuesday morning.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, the Chevrolet was driving westbound on Highway 109 near 460th Avenue around 5:15 a.m. when it left the roadway, hit a driveway and rolled several times.
The Lancaster County Sheriff's Office in Nebraska said the vehicle was stolen from a body shop last week. The sheriff's office identified the driver as 26-year-old Tanner Goodrich. Goodrich previously lived in Lincoln, Nebraska, but moved to Mankato, Minnesota, in 2012, according to his sex offender registration.
Goodrich was pronounced dead at the scene.
The road conditions were dry at the time of the crash.
The incident is under investigation. Officials are unsure if Goodrich stole the vehicle or if he acted alone.
