Redby Woman Convicted Of Trying To Hide Suspect
DULUTH, Minn. (AP) — A federal jury has convicted a Redby woman of trying to hide her boyfriend after a fatal shooting on the Red Lake Indian Reservation in northern Minnesota.
The jury Tuesday convicted 22-year-old Jerilee Jane Head on one count of being an accessory after the fact.
Prosecutors alleged Head helped her boyfriend, Donald Leigh Clark Jr., as he tried to elude authorities after the November 2010 shooting that left one man dead and two others wounded.
Clark was found hiding under a blanket in the backseat of Head's vehicle after authorities say she tried to lure federal agents away from the car.
Clark pleaded guilty last November to one count of discharging a firearm during a crime of violence.
Head faces a potential maximum penalty of 15 years in federal prison.
