Red Wing Comes Up Short In Small Business Revolution Contest
RED WING, Minn. (WCCO) -- A southern Minnesota town won't be getting the half million dollar upgrade it was hoping for.
Red Wing was in the running for a $500,000 grant through a competition called "Small Business Revolution-Main Street." Voting wrapped up last week.
Despite a strong showing of support, the city lost the competition to Bristol Borough, Pennsylvania. The contest sponsors say it was a tight race.
