Red Cross Helps Families Affected By 3 Minn. House Fires
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – The Red Cross helped 10 Minnesotans with clothing and shelter Saturday after responding to three house fires.
Two of the house fires started in Minneapolis and a third started in North Branch, Minn. Fire destroyed the North Branch house, which was located on the 7100 block of 303rd Avenue Northeast, the Red Cross said.
The fire affected three adults at the North Branch house, and the Red Cross said it's providing seasonal clothing and shelter to those individuals.
The two Minneapolis house fires appear to be less severe. Fire affected two adults in a duplex located near the intersection Lyndale Avenue South and West 44th Street. And a separate fire affected two adults and three children in a house near the intersection of Portland Avenue and 61st Street. Those affected by the Portland Avenue fire received seasonal clothing, food and housing, the Red Cross said.
