Rain Keeps Friday's State Fair Crowds At Bay

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The first day of the 2018 State Fair broke attendance records. The second day ... fell well short.

Attendance for the first day of the 2018 fair was a robust 122,965. That topped the previous record, dating back to 2010, of 119,145.

The very rainy second day in 2018, however, topped out at 108,059.

That's by a good measure short of 2017's 125,324 and 2016's 141,023, which remains the Day 2 record-holder.
