Racist Graffiti Sprayed On Chanhassen Garage Doors
CHANHASSEN, Minn. (AP) -- The Carver County sheriff's office is asking for the public's help in finding whoever vandalized some garage doors with a racial slur.
Deputies answered a call about property damage at 8:45 a.m. Tuesday. One garage door had the slur. The other door had a mushroom spray-painted in red. Damage is estimated at $300.
Sheriff Jim Olson calls the language "inflammatory" and says it will not be tolerated.
Sheriff's deputies responded to a similar incident in Chanhassen later that morning. A deputy discovered the letters "SK," a swastika and a smiley face spray-painted in red on a house. Damage in that case is estimated at $400.
Both cases are under investigation.
