Popcorn Created For Prince's B-Day; Proceeds Go To Charity
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Since Tuesday is Prince's birthday, you may want to celebrate with a local treat dedicated to the Purple One.
Popcorn-maker Candyland has released a vanilla-flavored mix that's colored a glossy purple.
If you buy a $5 bag of the purple popcorn on Monday or Tuesday, Candyland will donate 100 percent of the profits to Bridge For Youth, a local charity that helps young people in crisis.
Bridge For Youth is a group to which Prince donated.
Candyland stores are located in downtown Minneapolis, St. Paul and on Stillwater's Main Street. The Minnesota business is known for creating the Chicago Mix.
