Prince Fans Flock To Mpls. For Street Celebration, Dance Parties
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Lovers of Prince are celebrating his life and his music in downtown Minneapolis Saturday evening.
First Avenue and The Current radio station are hosting a memorial street party.
"He was really part of our community and not an enigma that was known to live here but he really lived here and took part in causes, people and events," fan Sandra Saign said.
Friday marked the one-year anniversary of the icon's death.
Saturday's street party is sold out, but there will be four more DJs having another dance party inside First Avenue Saturday night at 9 p.m.
