A Look At Prince's Faith

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Along with being a creative genius, Prince was also a man of deep faith.

He was a devout Jehovah's Witness, and he credits the religion for helping his life and his music.

Prince became a believer in 2001 after discussing the religion with his friend and fellow musician Larry Graham. Fans also noticed a change in his music at the time. His lyrics moved away from sex and sinning and focused more on faith.

Paisley Park, where the musician died, is just down the road from the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Chanhassen. So far, the church has yet to comment on Prince's passing.
