Prescott Woman Charged With Murder After Boyfriend Found In Box
PRESCOTT, Wis. (AP) — Bail is set at $100,000 for a Wisconsin woman charged in the death of her boyfriend whose body was found in a box along a road in Kentucky.
Forty-four-year-old Rose Marie Kuehni of Prescott appeared in Pierce County court Friday on felony charges of first-degree intentional homicide and hiding a corpse.
Fifty-one-year-old Douglas Bailey was reported missing Nov. 30. Police in Kentucky say his body was found Tuesday in a large box on an embankment in an industrial area in Hazard.
Bailey was a truck driver whose sister reported him missing after he failed to show up for a family Thanksgiving dinner in Peoria, Illinois.
The Peoria County Sheriff's Office says Bailey was killed in Prescott and his body transported to Kentucky.
Kuehni is due back in court Friday. Her attorney did not immediately respond to messages for comment Saturday.
