Prep Blog: Week 2 Top Performances
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Week 2 in high school football featured plenty of great match-ups and close calls, especially for this early in the season.
Hill-Murray got out to a big lead over Henry Sibley, then had to hang on for a slim victory. Blaine used four rushing touchdowns from its quarterback, including the game-winner in overtime, to slip past Hopkins 26-20. And there was even a little controversy as Shakopee took on Chanhassen in the Missota Conference. Alexi Johnson had a potential game-winning kick blocked for Shakopee, but the down was replayed after officials determined the ball wasn't properly set. Johnson then made a 23-yard field goal with 10 seconds left to seal a Sabers victory.
There were several other outstanding performances from Friday night's action. Here are our Top 4 Performances:

Junior quarterback McKinley Anderson might have had a little trouble getting to sleep Friday night. That's because he probably had the adrenaline flowing late in the night after Hutchinson made an improbable comeback victory over Annandale in Wright County Conference action.
