Powerball Jackpot Soars To $475 Million
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – So what would you do with $475 million? It seems like more money than anyone could spend, but that large sum of money could become a reality for somebody by late Saturday night.
There were no winning tickets sold in Wednesday night's drawing for the Powerball jackpot, which at the time was for about $360 million. The winning numbers that actually didn't win were 2, 11, 26, 34, 41 and a Powerball of 32. That means the grand prize will get much higher in time for Saturday's drawing.
Officials said the next jackpot will be about $475 million, which would be the second highest in the history of the game. If somebody were to win Saturday's drawing and take the cash option, it could come out to about $302 million. The last time it got this high was last November, when the winning estimate changed almost every day until it set a record at $580 million.
Expect gas stations and convenience stores to be busy selling those tickets through Saturday.
