Power Line Kills Man In Duluth
DULUTH, Minn. (AP) -- A 40-year-old man was killed when he came in contact with a power line in Duluth.
The man had been working on a friend's house, scraping it before painting, when a 40-foot ladder he and two other men were moving came into contact with a power line about 30 feet up at about 2:50 p.m. Friday.
Duluth police spokesman Brad Wick tells the Duluth News Tribune the line had 8,000 volts of electricity going through it.
The man was pronounced dead at a local hospital. Another man was taken to a hospital to be checked out and a third man didn't seek treatment.
