Political Expert Kathryn Pearson Talks GOP Debate On WCCO
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Saturday night's Republican debate in New Jersey, hosted by CBS, gave the presidential candidates a chance to sound off on several political issues in a key voting state.
A new CBS News poll shows a statistical three-way tie for the presidential nomination. Herman Cain's lead has dropped from 25 percent to 18 percent. Mitt Romney is tied for second place with 15 percent with former house speaker Newt Gingrich.
The poll also shows 30 percent of republican voters now say they are less likely to vote for Cain because of the recent sexual harrassment allegations against him.
Kathryn Pearson, a local political expert, stopped by the WCCO Sunday Morning Show to talk about Saturday night's debate winners and losers, and if Michele Bachmann is still in the race.
