Police: Man Arrested After Hitting Woman With Car
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A woman is hospitalized after being run over by a car in downtown Minneapolis following a fight with a man early Friday morning, according to police.
Minneapolis Police were called to the scene just after 3 a.m. near the area of 8th Street and LaSalle Avenue. When officers arrived, they learned a man and a woman had been in a vehicle when they got into a fight. The woman allegedly got out of the vehicle and climbed on top of the car. The man then sped off, causing the woman to fall off the car.
Police said the man then circled the intersection in the vehicle and ran the woman over. The woman was taken to a hospital with serious injuries. Her condition is not known at this time.
The man was taken into custody. The incident remains under investigation.
