Police: Woman, 38, Fatally Stabbed In St. Paul
ST. PAUL, Minn. (WCCO) – Police say a 38-year-old woman was stabbed to death late Sunday night, and a 49-year-old man is in custody in connection with the incident.
St. Paul Police identified the victim Tuesday morning as Miranda Schunk. Authorities were called to the 300 block of Dale Street N. at about 8:38 p.m. Sunday on a report of a stabbing. When officers arrived, a woman living in an apartment there got into an argument with her ex-boyfriend that moved out into a common hallway.
At some point, police say Schunk was stabbed. She was taken to a hospital and later pronounced dead.
Police said Monday that had a person of interest in custody in connection with the incident. The man has been identified as 49-year-old Kevin Evans of St. Paul.
The incident remains under investigation.
