Police Welcome Citizen Searches For Kira Trevino
ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) -- Police say they welcome any citizen searches for clues in the disappearance and presumed death of a St. Paul woman.
Authorities, family members, friends and even strangers searched this past weekend at Keller Regional Park for any evidence that could lead them to Kira Trevino. The 30-year-old woman disappeared Feb. 21. Her husband, Jeffery Trevino, has been charged with her murder after large amounts of blood were found in their home.
St. Paul Police Sgt. Paul Paulos says "the more eyes out searching the better." Paulos said Monday investigators have followed up on at least 100 leads in the case so far.
A group of people also searched Crosby Lake Park in St. Paul over the weekend because it isn't far from the Trevino home.
