Police: Wash. County Shooting Suspects Already In Custody
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Police believe the two suspects accused of being involved in a Washington County shooting that took place along Highway 5 near Highway 36 are already in custody.
According to the Washington County Sheriff's Office, authorities found Vy Lai Yang, 37, at 9:28 a.m. on May 21 with multiple gunshots in the lower part of his body as he sat in the passenger seat of a car driven by Demi Marie Ferguson, 20. He was taken to Regions Hospital, treated and later released.
Ferguson was arrested for drug charges stemming from a related search warrant, executed at the Extended Stay Hotel in Woodbury. Ferguson was originally booked under the name Lisa Anne Hackwith, 28.
At the location of the shooting, police found several .40-caliber shell casings along with blood evidence.
Police were looking for Reuben Adrian Paramo, 35, and Fidel Garcia Paramo, 37, and both are currently in custody at the Washington County Jail.
Charges, if any, are not expected until early next week. Police believe the suspects and the victim know each other.
