Police: Suspect Stabs Dog In St. Paul Home Robbery
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A dog suffered eight stab wounds as he tried to defend his St. Paul home from burglar's last Thursday, police said.
When police responded to the burglary, which occurred on the 1800 block of Maryland Avenue East, they found a boxer named Buster severely injured from stab wounds. The family said that when they arrived home, blood covered the house.
The homeowner, who is an Anoka County corrections officer, reported that the burglars stole his uniforms, four hunter guns and a laptop computer, police said.
No humans were home at the time of the burglary, and the dog will likely recover, police said.
No one is in custody and police have limited information on the suspect.
