Police: Suspect Arrested In Brooklyn Center Homicide
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Authorities said a suspect is in custody in connection with the Jan. 31 death of a man after an assault at a Brooklyn Center motel.
The Brooklyn Center Police Department responded to the Super 8 Motel at 6445 James Circle N. at about 4:45 p.m. on a report of a man unconscious in a room. When officers arrived, they located an adult male who was unresponsive.
After attempting life-saving measures, the man was pronounced dead at the scene. Through an investigation, police determined the man had suffered injuries consistent with an assault. Authorities said one suspect is in custody in connection with the man's death. The suspect has not been named, but authorities said they don't believe the incident was random and they are not looking for additional suspects.
The incident remains under investigation.
