Police: Speed A Factor In Forest Lake Crash That Killed 2
FOREST LAKE, Minn. (WCCO) -- Two people were killed in a crash in Forest Lake that authorities say was partially due to high speeds.
According to police, the crash happened Tuesday morning at about 9:30 a.m. as a car carrying a man and a woman was pulling out of a Wal-Mart parking lot.
Another car T-boned their vehicle, killing both of them. The 21-year-old driver of the second vehicle was not hurt.
Police say there was no evidence from blood tests to indicate the driver had been drinking, but it does appear that his speed played a factor in the two deaths.
The victims' identities have not yet been released.
The State Patrol is helping to reconstruct the crash scene.
