Police Seek Suspect In Stabbing At Bemidji Frat House
MINNEAPOLIS (AP) – Bemidji State University says no students were involved in a fight on property associated with one of its fraternities that left one teenager with stab wounds.
Beltrami County sheriff's officials say the teen tried to intervene in a fight between two males at a large party and was stabbed in the back early Sunday.
Eighteen-year-old Jace Ugrich, of Bovey, is in the intensive care unit at Sanford Bemidji Medical Center where he's in stable condition.
Sheriff's officials say a suspect in the stabbing has not been identified.
Bemidji State spokesman Scott Faust says the rural property where the party and stabbing took place is owned by Theta Tau Epsilon alumni. Faust says the university has posted information at its residence halls about two suspects being sought by the sheriff's department.
