Police: Armed, Dangerous Man In Faribault Arrested
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The hunt for a man said to be "armed and dangerous" is over.
According to authorities, 27-year-old Shane Alan Wilson stabbed his 26-year-old girlfriend several times before fleeing the scene. A little after 2 p.m., police confirmed they had Wilson in custody.
Officers were initially called to the scene to respond to a stalled vehicle in the road. Upon arrival, they found the woman, who was unresponsive, with multiple stab wounds.
She was found in the car on the on the west side of the police station, at 25 4th St. NW in Faribault, Minn. Saturday afternoon.
Police also found two children inside the vehicle but neither child was hurt. They were both taken into police custody.
The victim and a witness told police she was stabbed during an earlier domestic argument on the 300-block of 3rd Street NW by her boyfriend Wilson.
The woman's identity is not being released at this time.
Investigators think Wilson stole a car to flee the area, after receiving a report of a stolen 2001 Chevrolet Impala about a half an hour after the incident.
That vehicle was found on fire in rural Steel County about an hour later. The cause of the fire is unknown and still under investigation. The vehicle was unoccupied at the time of discovery.
