Police Search For Suspected Scam Artist
GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn. (WCCO) -- Police in Golden Valley are searching for a suspected scam artist who didn't show up for his court date.
Mark Christopher Bell has a warrant out for his arrest. He was arrested on March 1, after police posted a crime alert asking for help to track him down. Bell was booked and released after given a pending court date.
Police say he was caught going door-to-door and trying to get money by saying his car broke down. During one scam, a homeowner even drove him to a cash machine to take money out so they could help him.
Bell is said to have a long history of robbery, burglary, theft, assault and forgery charges.
Golden Valley Police encourage anyone who may have seen Bell to call 911.
