Police Search For Beltrami Co. Bank Robber
KEILLIHER, Minn. (WCCO) - Authorities are searching for a suspect who robbed the First State Bank of Big Fork Monday afternoon in Kelliher, Minn.
The Beltrami County Sheriff's office received a call at approximately 2:27 p.m. that a suspect, armed with a silver-handled shotgun, robbed the bank of an undetermined amount of money.
The suspect is believed to be approximately 6 feet tall with a slim build. He was wearing a one-piece hooded Tyvek suit, and a white plastic mask reminiscent of the one popularized by the "Halloween" movie series. The suspect also wore black tennis shoes, black gloves with white writing on them and palms with a rubberized grip, and were carrying a knap-sack-type black backpack.
After the robbery, the suspect left on foot eastward from the bank. Authorities believe a getaway car awaited the suspect, although the only information available about this vehicle is that it possibly had a wheel base of 52-58 inches and 7.5-8 inch tires.
