Police: Plymouth Arson Suspect Found
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Wisconsin police have located a suspect allegedly involved in the Plymouth, Minn. apartment fire that took place early Saturday morning.
The Plymouth Fire Department got a call around 4 a.m. Saturday about smoke in the hallway of The Place Apartments located at 3905 Lancaster Lane.
Crews arrived and saw black smoke coming from the second floor. They discovered that it was contained in a stairwell going from the first to second floor.
Police think it may be arson because a person was seen running from the building at the time of the fire.
Wisconsin State Patrol located the suspect at around 1 p.m. The suspect is currently being held in Wisconsin pending an ongoing investigation, police said.
Police said more information on the fire and the suspect will be released Monday.
The State Fire Marshal's Office is investigating.
