Police: Mother Wanted After Shooting Daughter In Leg
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- North St. Paul Police are searching for a mother accused of shooting her daughter in the leg after a dispute on Sunday.
According to authorities, an active pickup and hold has been filed for 35-year-old Tonya Hale Raleigh, the sole suspect in Sunday's shooting, which occurred in the area of 12th Avenue and McKnight Road.
Police say Raleigh shot her 18-year-old daughter after a domestic disturbance reportedly fueled by alcohol and fled the area.
Her daughter was found with non-life threatening injuries and transported to the hospital via ambulance.
Authorities searched for Raleigh throughout the day on Sunday, focusing their efforts on a nearby apartment building. Some residents were evacuated during the search.
