Police: Missing Man May Have Gone Fishing In Minnesota River
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – The Shakopee Police Department is asking for the public's help to find a missing man who may have gone fishing on the Minnesota River earlier this week. Rescue crews were out early Thursday morning looking for 37-year-old Eric Michael Lindquist. Authorities said the Shakopee native was last seen by a family member at about 10:30 p.m. Wednesday. It is believed he left his home on foot to go fishing on the Minnesota River in Memorial Park, but he has not been seen since. He is described as a white male about 6 feet tall and weighing about 180 pounds with brown hair and blue eyes. It is believed he is wearing a dark blue jacket with a hood and baggy jeans. Authorities have searched the area near the Minnesota River in Memorial Park by foot, in the water and through the air with the help of the State Patrol helicopter. Shakopee Police said they do not suspect foul play and that no further information is available. Anyone with information is asked to call Shakopee Police at (952) 233-9400.
