Police: Man Steals Car, Hits 3 Vehicles Before Fleeing
ST. CLOUD, Minn. (WCCO) -- A man is in custody after police say he stole a car, rammed it into three vehicles and led officers on a short chase.
The incident occurred around 12:48 a.m. Sunday, near an apartment complex located in the 300 block of Fifth Avenue South.
Officers arrived on scene to find a St. Cloud resident, who said her vehicle was just stolen from the parking lot of the building by 22-year-old Corey St. James Tell.
She said as he reversed out of the parking lot, he hit two cars, then proceeded to drive out of the lot, striking a third vehicle.
Tell was found by officers on the southeast side of St. Cloud, where a short chase ensued.
Tell was eventually arrested and taken into custody at Stearns County Jail.
He could face charges of theft of a motor vehicle, fleeing police in a vehicle, three counts of hit-and-run, careless driving and driving without a valid license.
