Police: Man Shot In Red Wing, Suspect In Custody
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Authorities say a suspect is being questioned after a man was shot in Red Wing early Tuesday afternoon.
The Red Wing Police Department responded at about 12:18 p.m. to a report of a shooting at 408 West Avenue. When officers arrived, they located an adult male who had suffered a gunshot wound to the chest. He was treated at the scene by paramedics with the Red Wing Fire Department and transported to Mayo Clinic Health Systems in Red Wing.
Police say a suspect is being questioned in connection with the incident and there is no threat to the general public. The Red Wing Police Department is investigating the incident with assistance from the Goodhue County Sheriff's Office.
