Police: Man Injured After Being Trapped In Car
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A 53-year-old Owatonna is in critical condition after his car rolled over Thursday morning and imprisoned him in an icy creek for more than six hours, authorities said.
The Freeborn County Sheriff's Office said Lyndon Schewe rolled his 2004 Buick over near Interstate 90 at around 6:30 a.m. Authorities found him at 1:05 p.m.
Schewe landed his Buick in a creek that runs along the side of Interstate 90, just west of Highway 13, the Albert Lea Tribune reported.
Mayo One airlifted Schewe to St. Marys Hospital in Rochester.
The incident is still under investigation.
