Police: Man Arrested For Sexual Assault, Kidnapping and Threats
CHASKA, Minn. (WCCO) –- Chaska Police forced their way into a house and arrested a man for multiple charges Thursday morning after they had received a 911 call and heard screaming coming from inside the house.
Police arrested 42-year-old Jim Rogers of Minneapolis, for attempted criminal sexual assault, police said. Rogers also goes by the name Arkinzie Eric Solomon.
The investigation showed that Rogers attempted to assault a woman in her home and threatened her life. Rogers physically prevented the woman from fleeing the house, prior the police's arrival. Rogers and the victim knew each other, police said.
Police also arrested Rogers for kidnapping, terroristic threats charges and for an outstanding arrest warrant for failing to register as a predatory offender.
The investigation is still ongoing.
Rogers is being held in the Carver County Jail pending his first court appearance on March 28.
