Police: Man, 26, Found Dead In Drainage Ditch
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) –- Wadena County Police found a dead man in a drainage ditch near an overturned car Thursday morning after receiving a call about a one-car crash.
Police found the body of 26-year-old Joshua Kangas, of Sebeka, in a ditch off of 199th Avenue near the Meadow Township, a police report said. When an ambulance arrived on the scene, Kangas was dead.
Kangas was driving northbound on 199th Avenue when his car left the road and rolled into the ditch, the report said. His body was not found in the car. The exact time of the crash is unknown, but police suspect it happened around midnight.
An autopsy is planned to determine the cause of the death, the report said.
The Wadena County Police were assisted on scene by the Sebeka Fire Department, Tri-County Ambulance, Minnesota State Patrol, Minnesota DNR, and the Wevley Funeral Home.
