Police Looking For Suspect In Alexandria Robbery
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Authorities are looking for a suspect in northwestern Minnesota after a man was seen on surveillance throwing a brick into a business and committing a robbery, according to police.
Alexandria Police said the incident happened at about 11:30 p.m. Thursday at the AllStop on the 600 block of South McKay. Authorities learned through witnesses and surveillance video that a vehicle dropped off the suspect, who was wearing a camouflage jacket, in front of the store. The suspect walked around the side of the building, came back, threw a brick through a window and entered the store.
Police said the man stole cigarettes and fled the scene. Authorities said the suspect was in the store about 15 seconds. Police said they're not sure if this incident is related to a series of robberies in the area. Those include incidents at a Subway and Premiere Video.
