Police Investigate 20-Year-Old Man's Death, 1 Arrested
ST. PAUL (WCCO) -- Police are investigating the early morning death of a 20-year-old St. Paul man.
Authorities say they learned the man had arrived at United Hospital with multiple wounds just before 2 a.m. Sunday. He died a short time later.
A St. Paul man is in custody in connection with the man's death. William Dudley Cummins, 22, of St. Paul was arrested at a residence on the 1600 block of Maryland Avenue East.
Police say Cummins fled the residence but was arrested after a short foot chase.
Police say they are working to determine details surrounding this incident but they believe the man was injured at a residence in the area near Seventh and Bay streets.
The death is not believed to be random.
Officials said the investigation of the man's death is ongoing and no other details are available at this time.
The victim's identity will be released in the coming days.
