Police Find Owners Of 2 Dogs Abandoned In Moorhead

MOORHEAD, Minn. (AP) -- Police have found out who owned two German shepherds abandoned at a Moorhead animal hospital last week.

Moorhead police say the owners are a couple from Dilworth who reportedly could not afford to keep the dogs.

A man drove up to the Fargo-Moorhead Animal Hospital last Friday, let the dogs out and drove off.

The dogs are both young adult females. Police say several people have come forward offering to take both dogs.

Police expect to forward reports to the Clay County Attorney's office to review for possible animal abandonment charges.
