Police: Attempted Kidnapping Near Lake Calhoun
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Minneapolis police have issued a crime alert after an attempted kidnapping of a 13-year-old girl near Lake Calhoun Sunday afternoon.
Police say the attempted kidnapping occurred at around 2:24 p.m. near 36th Street West and Zenith Avenue South. The girl was riding her bike when she approached by three men.
Police say one of the men grabbed the girl by the wrist and said they would hurt her if she made any noise. She screamed, however, and the men fled, running north from the area on foot.
It is unknown if there was a vehicle parked nearby. No similar incidents have been reported.
The suspects have been described as white males, between the ages of 30 years old and 45 years old. One of the suspects had a very muscular build, described as similar to a wrestler. Another suspect thad blond hair in a buzz cut.
There is no clothing description available.
