Police Looking For Suspects Who Tagged Maple Grove H.S.
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Police are investigating after the words "Seniors" and "12" were spray painted on the side of Maple Grove Senior High early Thursday morning.
Cpt. Tracy Stille, of Maple Grove police, said the department got a call shortly after 3 a.m., saying damage to the school was in progress.
When officers arrived at the school, they learned staff had interrupted a group of people who were spray painting the building. Police attempted to track the suspects with the use of a police dog. The dog followed the scent into the woods near the school, where the scent was lost.
At the scene, police recovered spray paint cans and unopened gallons of paint, Stille said.
The Hennepin County crime lab was called to the school, and police are attempting to get surveillance video to help identify suspects.
No entry into the school was made and no windows were broken, Stille said.
